A message to Basic Fit through this platform since i don’t get a reasonable reaction through email or messanger.
As explained in my emails and chat on the messanger to Basic Fit, My friend used my personal details to sign up for the gym (With my conscent) for ”a month” since she didn’t have a Dutch bank account at the time to pay and sign up for the gym.
To clarify i’m from Ukrain and came to The Netherlands because of the war. To my surprise i received and email that i had to pay for unpaid subscription. My friend tried to cancel the subscription for me but according to Basic-Fit i had to do it myself, i have been trying to do so ever since after receiving the payment email but without succes since i can’t reach them by phone and by mail it takes a long time before i even get a response.
Now i even get warinings that my payment is even higher and that i have to pay within 15 days otherwise they are taking other measures. (I don’t understand how they can treat people this way)
I’m sure people can imagine that we are already in a though enough situation because of the war.
Besides i don’t even have a job since i have been here.
They also said that because i reacted too late that i now have a subscription for a year and can’t cancel it before that time.
I think everyone can understand that i would never sign up for a gym subscription for a year if we are not even sure how long we can stay here. (We signed up only for a monthly subscription)
And everyone should know that by March 4th they are not extending our stay (Everyone can read this on the IND website) so why should i be stuck with a subscription that i never even used myself in the first place. And if i knew it would be a one year subscription i would have never helped my friend to sign up for it using my details.
I hope i can get a reply with a reasonable solution.
