Mijn Klacht:
I got a phone call from GLN with congratulations on starting my business and with a ‘good news’ that now I am entitled to get a discount on my energy prices. They asked about my energy supplier and said that in Netherlands every freelancer is entitled to pay less for gas and energy. They calculated my new rates to be about 20 euros lower and – being asked – confiirmed several times that there are no hidden consequences, they just contact my supplier and inform that I should get this discount. It was never stated that it includes a change of my current energy supllier to Essent. I got an email with a link where I could see the details (there was also a document but I could see only the first page, which now I think was a webside bug). It also stated that the period of duration was 5 years, but I mentioned at the begining that I am going to stay in the Netherlands only for a year – I was assured that there are no consequences if I quit the agreement before 5 years. After confiirmation of some data, the agreement on getting my ‘discount’ was said to be official and then I got an email with the full contract (which appeared to be a contract on the new energy supplier!) and it became obvious to me that I would never had agreed on that if I had this information before, and it was totally different to the information the man stated on the phone. I cannot reach anyone on the phone and have already sent an email to Essent, but with no responce.
Gewenste Oplossing:
I want the contract to be cancelled due to misinformation and the huge inconsistency between the information given on the phone and the document I received.
