Een gebruiker heeft een klacht ingediend tegen Parkmobile over onterechte facturering voor parkeren tijdens gratis parkeertijd. Hij ontvangt een rekening voor 23 uur in een zone waar maximaal 6 uur betaald parkeren geldt, en vindt het onduidelijk hoe hij een klacht over de factuur kan indienen. De kwestie is inmiddels opgelost.

Mijn Klacht:

Parkmobile is billing me for parking during free parking time and they refuse to change the invoice. In one of their bill they are charging me parking for about 23 hours in a 6 hour parking zone (paid parking from 18:00 to 24:00). And I do not think I should pay them more than the maximum 6 hours indicated in the parking sign on the street.

Furthermore it is not clear how one can file a billing complaint. I had to resort to sending them a message on their Facebook page.

Gewenste Oplossing:

I will be happy when I am charged for the maximum municipality hours, and not some arbitrary Parkmobile hours.

Dear madam Solankr,

Thank you for contacting Parkmobile. We are sorry to hear the cost of your parking action on the 13th of June are higher than expected.

We see that you had contact with Parkmobile via Social Media and cancelled your subscription based on the parking action of the 13th of June. During the parking action on the 13th of June we did not receive an request to stop your parking action.

Since we did not receive a stop request we stopped the parking action at the moment it reached it maximum parking duration, end of the next day (23:59), as decided by the municipality. This information can be found back in the zone information in the app and on the street on the parking meters. Unfortunately all the notifications in your Parkmobile account were cancelled, which did not give us the opportunity to inform you about the active parking action.

As you may know we collect the parking taxes (parking cost) on behalf of the municipality. We can not adjust or cancel the parking action nor the parking cost. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Dear Parking Mobile,

The maximum parking time in a day is 6 hours (from 18:00 - 24:00), so how did you come up with 23:59 hours of parking, and that is where I am having issues with your company. Furthermore even the municipality employee I spoke with does not understand how you can charge such an amount and she said there is no way they will be receiving 23 hours worth of parking for an individual in one day, it is 6 hours. So please do not insult my intelligence stating the money is owed to the municipality when it is not the case.
