Mijn Klacht:
Geachte Mevrouw, Meneer,
On Tuesday, November 14th I was attacked by the security guard in Albert Heijn on Jodenbreestraat 21. I came late, at 21:55 and entered the front door, which were open. When I wanted to enter the gate of the shopping area the security guard has stopped me informing, that you are closed. So I showed the guard my phone with the exact time 21:56 on it. Behind the gate were still plenty of people shopping. He refused to let me in. I stood there for a while, without arguments, trying to ask someone else for confirming the time from the second source. Then all of sudden the guard jumped at me, painfully catching my arms, squeezing and twisting them and started dragging me towards the entrance. I was very shocked and frightened and asked him to give me his name, informing that he is not allowed to touch me, there was no reason for such an action. The answer was he can do what he wants ! He kept on joking, other coworkers kept their mouth shut. I asked them abut his name, but they kept solidarity, however you could notice they were also shocked by the guard acting.
This particular Albert Heijn is the one I make majority of my shopping. I used to be always pleased but it’s service. Since Tuesday I feel simply scared to go there, as long as it’s security guard is more suitable for anger management sessions than for public services. I am handicapted with chronic illness, which is terminal (Polycystic Kidney and Liver Disease).
Therefore my question is, is it possible to obtain the cameras’ video of that incident and pull the consequences ?
I live in Amsterdam for 16 years. Till now I have never experienced this type of aggression from the worker who should take care of the safety of the store and it’s clients.
What’s next ? Someone will get bitten by your worker because he can not control his temper ? I do not want to know what may happen if one day someone would try to argue with your street-educated personel. It frightens me.
Therefore I have informed the wijkagent about the sittuation. I have also warned all my neighbors, colleagues and family to not make their shopping in AH store on Jodenbreestraat at the moment, till the working status of it’s security guard is not solved.
The sad thing of the whole incident was the fact that none of your workers reacted, no one stopped your security guard. What does it say about your standards ? Is the Alebrt Heijn Nederland still the family store ? Or rather the private field for those, who want to be on the outer side of the entry lock at 22:00 ?
I also send this letter to Ahold Head-office and keep it’s copy in case of legal outcome.
With kind regards,
A.A.Grodzka
Gewenste Oplossing:
Als de security dat werkt in Amsterdamse AH, Jodenbreestraat 21 om Dinsdag, 14 november stopt met werken in AH.
