Een consument kocht een Samsung Note 8 op 12 juni 2018 en ontdekte enkele maanden later een vlek op het scherm. Na het indienen van een reparatieverzoek bij Samsung, werd hem medegedeeld dat de garantie was verlopen en dat hij kosten moest betalen. Na contact met Vodafone bleek dat het toestel onder garantie viel, maar opnieuw ontving hij een verzoek om reparatiekosten te betalen.

Mijn Klacht:

I bought my Samsung note 8 on 12-06-2018 from Vodafone. Few months after the purchase, I noticed a dim watermark for the google map sign on the background. At that time, I couldn’t send my phone for repair. So on May 2020 I sent my phone directly to Samsung and told them that the damage isn’t caused by me of course as this kind of damage can’t be caused by a person rather this is the device issue. But after few days they informed me that the warranty of the phone has expired and I need to pay 36 euros or full repair. I paid 36 euros and asked my phone back and contacted Vodafone. Vodafone informed me that this device is covered under warranty so on 11-06-2020 I requested for repair through Vodafone. After few days I received another email stating that I need to pay repair cost or 36 euros for the diagnosis because the device was sent after warranty had expired. I asked again for the device back. I went to Vodafone again and they said that we need to wait for the device to arrive and then Vodafone is gonna send the device to Samsung again with the proof of purchase and also when the proof of when the device was sent for the repair. I called Samsung again and they said that for the first time when we sent device for the repair, they thought that warranty has expired as we didn’t show proof of purchase. And for the second time, it doesn’t matter when we sent the device, it counts only once they receive the device And as they received the device after few days therefore warranty has expired, which isn’t true as with my Samsung tv repair they clearly said that once you request for the repair it only counts that day not when the product has arrived now I paid money for nothing. I am so disappointed and lost. Never would buy another Samsung product again. Could you please resolve this. I want my phone to be repaired and also a refund of the money I paid
