On 27 April 2018, I purchased several items to the value of 505.10 EUR and being a first time patron, I also had to make enquiries at the till point on the process of purchasing a large furniture item (due to lack of help on the floor) amidst enquiries with the help at the till point, I erroneously did not pack one item (Galdom Side Table – 14.95 EUR) I realized this at home and ly called the call centre. Spoke to Jeffery (ref no 12239472) and he assured me that he will send enquiries to the store and an email will be sent to me within 2 weeks advising when I could fetch the item from the store. I waited 6 weeks for a response to no avail. I called today 6 weeks later and was put on hold whilst the call centre agent contacted the store, her response back was ludicrous, she ed that the item was fetched. I probed and asked what ation did the store have that the item was fetched and by whom? She proceeded to say that it could have been taken by a customer after me, this makes no sense, was it fetched or taken? And she also mentioned that there is list at the store of items left behind and it was fetched ?? I’m grappled to make sense the two contrasting responses. She then suggested I visit the store. I requested for a reference number for the call and she insisted on emailing same to me, no surprises, no email received… It’s been over an hour and still waiting.. Not going to hold my breath. Shocking service ! Can IKEA respond and redeem themselves please.
