At October 11 2019 we arrived from the Netherlands at Washington Dulles. We rented a car via eDreams at carTrawler (paid in advance) and went to Dollar to get the car (bookingnr US459679360)
When we went to Dollar after a long journey we found an employee of Dollar not willing to help us. During our contact the paying machine of Dollar did not accept our creditcard, when swiping. The employee said that had to do with a little damage on the strip of the creditcard. When we suggested to try another machine to pay, paying by creditcard by chipcode of paying cash, the employee said this was not possible. We did not get the rented car and had to leave and look for other costly transport.
By the way, we used our creditcard in several ways and a lot of moments during past days; it worked and works perfectly everywhere (except at Dollar….)…….
In the meantime we tried to contact e-dreams and Dollar, but nothing works. We want our paid money back. On the website of CarTrwaler we read that we should have received an e-mail and restitution, but this is not the case.
We can’t get in touch with CarTrawler for our complaint
We are satisfied when we get our money back
