Klacht over Basic Fit: collecting money after …

Mijn Klacht:

I subscribed to Basic fit for one year, this year I fully paid; however, they kept charging me for another full year, without my consent, and without me using the service at all. Moreover, I did not have enough funds on my account, and they anyways gave the service so that debt is built, I did not sign a contract for a loan. I asked them around 2 months ago to share with me my signing contract, they did not reply back yet, but put me through a collection agency called cannock.nl to force me to pay.

I made it super clear to the guy that helped me to enrol in the gym that one year only no more than that. Basic-fit replied that if I have proof of it… what such a company, I have no words. Of course I do not have proof, but you do not have proof I am lying, right? There are tons of people with my same very issue:

You can google ’trustpilot.com basic-fit.com’ to check tons of complaints for the same issue other people have.

Seriously I am really considering to sue Basic-fit so that he returns all the funds they have been unfairly collecting from people all these years.

Gewenste Oplossing:

Return all the funds collected from my account after my year subscription ended, and cancel the unreasonable debt they claim I have of 143 euros.

Dear Marco,

Thank you for you message.

I'm sorry to hear there is some misunderstanding about your membership.

If you entered into an agreement for the duration of one year, you can terminate this at the latest 30 days prior to the end of the term of the agreement. If you do not do this, the agreement will be extended for an indefinite period and can subsequently be terminated at any time, subject to a notice period of 30 days.

If you have a proof of an earlier cancellation I want to advice you to send this to the collection agency and to lodge an objection.

If there is no proof of an earlier cancellation unfortunately we can not do anything for you.

6 jaren geleden - Hi Basic-Fit, I understand you ask for proof. Another proof is the contract I signed and agreed upon, the one that states what you claim. Please share my signing contract. For me, it is not enough that you just state claims about what I should've done.
