Shell Mass Hilversum at Zeverijnstraat 18m 1216 GK Hilversum created a serious problem for me today due to unclear information at the pump. It caused me money, emotional stress and calling police to sort the things out.
I tank my car using a Shell Tankpass given by my company. At this gas station the E95 pomp nozzle was sealed and V-Power nozzle was open. They put a paper stating E95 for the price of V-Power over the V-Power nozzle. I filled 33.78 l fuel for Eur 55,03 from the pump number 2. To my big surprise, my Shell tank pass was not approved by the card machine. The person in Shell shop informed me that I have to pay in cash.
I have a lease car and if I pay in cash I will not get my money back.The tank station never made it clear that the Shell passes do not work at Shell station. The shop person told me that he has no way of knowing if a particular Shell card will be accepted.
After some heated argument, I called police. Police suggested that I pay and then start civil court procedure against Shell to sort this out. For 55 Euro, I am not likely to do that but it left a very bad impression of Shell which I will share with the world and hope that it helps them improve.
Gewenste Oplossing:
Refund of Eur 55 and service improvements.
