Mijn Klacht:
I purchased my Samsung smart TV (UE55F6500) 2 years and 2 months ago. Two days ago when I tried to turn it on it started to \”click\” and to power on and off on its own. Even after removing the plug, the clicks are still going on for a few seconds.
I have read this around the internet everywhere: apparently Samsung installed capacitors which are undersized for the power needs of the TV. Samsung already lost a class-action lawsuit in 2012 about this and people in the US are starting to look at another class-action for new models (https://www.practical-home-theater-guide.com/are-there-still-capacitor-problems-with-samsung-tvs.html )
Even on this forum I have seen two report of this issue in the last week alone!
I am having mine repaired, Samsung said it will cover costs above 250 euro. I don\’t think companies should be allowed to design products that fail immediately after the warranty expires
Gewenste Oplossing:
If the repair person will find that the problem is indeed related to capacitors, I expect Samsung to pay for the repair.
