Subject: Objection to Customs Fees on Parcel from India
I am writing to formally object to the customs fees applied to a parcel (ED614203490IN) that was delivered to me from India. The parcel contains a traditional thread, known as a “Rakhi,” which is to be worn on the wrist on the auspicious day of Raksha Bandhan.

The Rakhi is a symbolic thread sent by my sister from India as part of our cultural tradition. It is not a commercial item purchased from a webshop, but rather a personal and sentimental item that holds significant emotional value. The freight costs for transporting this parcel from India to the Netherlands have already been paid in India.
Given the nature of the contents and the fact that it is not a commercial purchase, I believe that the customs fees applied to this parcel are unwarranted. I kindly request a review of this case and a refund of the customs fees charged.
I appreciate your understanding and attention to this matter. Please let me know if any additional information or documentation is required to process my request.
