Today (16:00, 2.10.2016) I went to C&A Winkelcentrum Woensel, Eindhoven to return a sweater that I bought a day before. Woman that talked with me was the Assistant Store Manager (she would not even give me her name, elder woman in glasses).
The woman rejected my return in an extremely unpleasant way. Basically by taking the sweater, putting it in a bag in front of me and walking away.
Even more shocking was her argument that even though I presented her with clean/unworn sweater and the bill she “could not verify that this sweater was bought in this store”. Even after seeing exactly the same sweater hanging in the store (just different size) and the bill form yesterday – she claimed that she “doesn’t know if this sweater was bought here yesterday”. (treating me like a thief or a fraud)
Regardless, the rainy weather I went back home, dug out of the garbage “THE PRICE TAG” and came back to the store. This woman didn’t even scan anything, just looked at the bill again and asked another employee to handle the return, quickly walked away without any word.
I will be happy if the woman that is the Assistant Store Manager in C&A Woensel will be reprimanded for this situation. Me nor any other customer with honest intentions should be treated by this woman like a fraud. She does not listen to obvious reasons acting no better than a machine. I understand that this woman has higher authority in C&A Woensel but she has to understand that she can not mistreat customers like that.
