Mijn Klacht:

Bought my phone in Feb2016 on KPN contract. Since last month I am not able to charge it properly. When i showed Apple store in Den Haag they said that the pins are corroded and 2 pins are broken.
My point of view is that the pins are open to atmosphere and should not get corroded. Probably due to that they are broken. It can also be that the Apple store guys cleaned the pins and they broke.
Apple is saying that since this is damaged it is out of warranty and cannot be repaired. They offerred me to replace the phone by paying something around €300.

Gewenste Oplossing:

In my view this is a material defect and should be fixed by Apple under warranty. I should not be required to pay anything.
Since it is an open port it is exposed to atmosphere and therefore must be corrosion resistant.
