Mijn Klacht:

After cancelling a prepaid sim arrangement with KPN in March, i received a request for payment for the month of April. Asking the KPN customer service, i was told that paying for one month after the cancellation is part of their policy. However, that was the very first time i heard talking about such thing. Actually, when i bought the sim card in a KPN store nothing was mentioned and when i cancelled the contract (which i did on the phone with a KPN operator) i specifically asked if the March bill would have been the last one, receiving a positive answer.
When asked for the April payment, i explained this anomaly and episode of dishonesty to the customer service, and i was told that all the information about their policy were in the contract. Since i am an international student who doesn’t speak Dutch, I couldn’t have known this by reading the contract, which is the reason why i repeatedly asked about payments, cancellation fees and such. As a student i don’t have much disposable income and finding this out just a few days before the bill is due put me in a very bad situation. If i had previously known about the payment i wouldn’t have had any problem, however since i was lied to twice by KPN employees, they cannot expect me to pay for anything.

Gewenste Oplossing:

I will be satisfied when the bill is waived, and removed from my pending payments on my bank account.
