Mijn Klacht:
08may2023
I was this morning at the Jumbo supermarket Hogeweide, Utrecht. At the bakery department I was served by a man who accidentally dropped two loafs of bread on the floor, while taking out the tray of bread loafs from the oven. He left them there on the floor to finish his task and placed the tray on the cart to cool off. Afterwards he picked up the two loafs of bread from the floor and placed them back on the tray with the rest of the loafs!
What also was noticed, is that employees at the bakery do not wear any gloves, handling all bread with bare hands while adjusting their hair, scratching their face to et rid of an itch or while thinking/talking and even wipe their hands on their pants. This was all noticed in the 5 min I was standing there waiting for my turn.
This is extremely disgusting and wish to file an official complaint.
I strongly suggest that you get your procedures/protocols for handling these types of incidents, employee gowning and internal inspections in order.
Food fallen on the ground should be discarded and not placed back with the rest!
employees at he bakery should wear protection and be aware not to touch their bare skin or clothes while handling food!
You yourself do not eat from the floor and I expect that you treat your customers with the same respect!
Gewenste Oplossing:
this type of complaints often get covered up by some general communication.
taking into consideration that this affects all customers on daily bases I would like to see strong response from the company in order to restore trust at your customers.
Do provide clear and improved protocols for
1. handling incidents of food fallen on the ground. This should be discarded!
2. improved gowning procedures and adequate training for this
