Een klant van Basic Fit heeft moeite met het annuleren van zijn jaarabonnement, omdat hij geen toegang heeft gehad tot de sportscholen. Ondanks herhaalde pogingen om via e-mail contact op te nemen, ontvangt hij alleen automatische antwoorden en kan hij de annulering niet zelf uitvoeren.

Mijn Klacht:

I am trying to cancel my subscription as it is not possible to use the gyms throughout the time the subscription was active.

I am not getting any responses to email apart from the auto-generated ‘you can cancel it yourself’ message. I cannot cancel it myself since its a yearly subscription and I don’t want to pay for months of services I cannot use .

Gewenste Oplossing:

When I get a reply back from basic fit and my subscription is cancelled.

Thank you for message.

Sorry to hear that you have this experience with us!

I've checked this for you in our administration and we've received the cancellation in good order. The end date of your membership is: 5/25/2021.

You registered yourself with an annual contract. An annual contract consists of at least 52 paying weeks. When registering, you took advantage of the promotion “8 weeks of free sports”. The free period preceding the annual contract is not deducted from this. Your annual contract started on 3/26/2020. So you do pay for an annual contract but with the advantage that you can exercise for free from the registration date until the start date of your membership.

Due to the situation regarding Corona, we have offered our members various compensation options. You have chosen the Goodiebag. For all our members we have frozen the direct debit for the months (May and June). We have added these two months to the membership, which means that the end date will be postponed. In this way the agreement still consists of at least 52 paying weeks.

The end date of your membership is 5/25/2021. It's not possible to end it earlier.

Because of the second lockdown, we had to close our clubs again.We immediately stop the direct debit for all our members and you do not have to pay anything for the period in which the clubs are closed.

At this moment it is not yet known exactly what consequences this will have for your membership. Because of this I can't make a definitive statement about this yet. As soon as more is known about this, we will inform you personally by e-mail as soon as possible.
