Concerning Lost Baggage BOGTK11645
On March 7 we started our trip in Accra Ghana TK-0630, where on checking in we were informed that our luggage coud not be booked through until our final destination: Quito Ecuador, but only until Bogota Colombia.
There we had to pick it up and check it in with the last operator of our flights: Avianca AV-8373
In Bogota we found that only 1 bag had arrived, we were informed that the other 3 had remained for unknown reasons, in Istanbul and not on Flight no TK-800
But 3 days waiting and the bags would be in Quito for us to pick up.
Not nice but that can happen.
That was a week and 4 trips to the Quito airport ago.
Calling with Avanca never works so we have to go in person to ask again.
By now our patience is over, our holiday is completely off track, we should be in Loja by now,instead we are without clothes and so on still waiting.
Besides the expenses for the trips to the airport we had to buy some basic clothes and slippers and shoes, we cannot use our laptops because the chargers are in one of the bags, and so on.
We are stuck in a hotel in a city that we should have left days ago because of all this.
Except an automated response on March 12 that the bags had been located we know nothing.
My question: If they were located days ago why are they not here in Quito?
I have used your airline many times before because I like it’s service and was always satisfied, but this, really letting us wait a week on 3 bags that were left as we were told in Bogota, in Istanbul by mistake?
This shouldnot happen this way and we want to have our property back as soon as possible,or at least be informed about what is going on.
