Mijn Klacht:
I cancelled my contract with you for Television/Internet and Telephone already in June 2009 as we decided to switch to Tele2. Back then, I lived with two girls in Breda. I moved out there in Summer 2010 before going to Canada for an internship. Then, last year February 1 new students moved in and requested Internet/Television from Ziggo and Ziggo used my details (bank account etc) to set up the new contract and –which I find very irritating- deducted money from my account. This all happened without me being involved in the process of concluding a new contract. You NEVER confirmed with me and NEVER let me sign anything. In April 2011 I noticed that 208,53 Euros were deducted from my account on March 29 and 64,90 Euros on April 28.
As a consequence, I let my bank take back the amount deducted. I sent Ziggo a copy of my new rental contract in April 2011 to proof that the new contract was made in a time in which I was not even living in that house anymore. After that Ziggo stopped withdrawing money. Based on the factuuroverzicht on your website that shows that I do not owe you any money, I thought that the whole issue was solved. I have proof that
1. The first letter of confirmation for the new tenants was received by them the 22nd of February.
2. The contract between the new tenants and Ziggo received is under his name, not mine.
3. They paid 19 euros from the 21st of February till March, regular costs for March and April and a one time service costs. After that first bill they were just charged the regular monthly rate.
How can it be that two contracts with Ziggo could be concluded for the same house???
I even have emails of the new tenants which say that it was a big misunderstanding and that Ziggo mistakenly used all my saved data. I am very surprised that something like this could happen.
To me this whole issue appears as a big misunderstanding and I hope that this letter clarifies the whole situation and its different stages. That is why I would like to ask you to examine this whole issue. As far as I understand the letters of LAVG you approached a ‘Gerechtsdeurwaarder’ but after having received advise from our family’s lawyer I am safe to say that I am innocent. Before I take any legal steps against you, I would like to solve this issue with this final letter of mine.
