Mijn Klacht:
We have just returned from holidays after traveling one day later than
planned with Vueling – under full price conditions- to Sevilla; as Malaga
was not available.
Please let me explain what happened on Wednesday, May 13th. We, Roos van Alfen and myself, already checked in two days before departure to Malaga with flight VY8367. After checking in one piece of luggage we passed airport security/customs one and a half hour before departure time 17:25 of flight VY8367. Having passed customs we sat down to have lunch close to our departure gate. We arrived at the gate at exactly 17:10, 15 minutes before the actual flight was supposed to leave. To our shock we faced denial to enter the plane: an employee of Vueling already closed the door accessing the plane. Continuing, we asked the lady of Vueling: why she closed access to the place significantly too early and why she had not called our names-
assuming that this is normal policy. We believe this is unacceptable as we were on time at the gate.
We did not want to make a scene and requested a compensation flight at the Vueling desk, without success. As all accommodation and domestic transport had been booked: we continued our holidays and respectively bought two full price Vueling tickets- via Skyscanner, as the employee at the Vueling desk was not able to help us out- to Sevilla for end of next day (VY8341; 16:25; T53D9V; E230,-).
Gewenste Oplossing:
I believe that a sincere apology and full financial compensation of flight
VY8341 is in place.
