Mijn Klacht:

Were are very sad and disappointed, our trip to Rome is completely cancelled. We booked Thursday, May 7th until Monday, May 11th with Vueling (VY6291). We spend a lot of time in preparing the trip, buy the excursions, read the information, etc. Upon arrival at Amsterdam airport we read on the board that our flight was cancelled. We checked our e-mails to find out if we missed an important mail, but there was none. We spend some time searching for our answer, and arrived in a long row at the (one man) Vueling desk. The first offer was a flight in the evening, unfortunately the system failed, so the next opportunity was the next morning. We couldn’t do anyting else than agree since we already lost a lot of costs on hotel and pre-booked excursions. We went home again with our suitcases, because there was nobody who could help us by booking a hotel.

Friday morning we saw on the website of Schiphol that our flight was cancelled again. We have tried to reach Vueling on the phone for more than one hour, nobody on the phone. We went to Schiphol to be sure that we create another alternative for our holiday. At the Vueling desk it appeared that no more flights are available in between 24 hours, which was the only opportunity to change your booking for free. The only opportunity was Sunday evening, but our retour flight was Monday, and we had to pay over 400,00 euro extra. Then remains the only option to choose for a refund. We already send a lot of e-mails, but didn’t got an answer.

Gewenste Oplossing:

Refund in costst that we had made before our vacation to Rome start.

Regardless of the ticket (363.16 euros), we lose a lot of other costs. Below is a list of which we like to inform you:

Hotel: 456.00 euro (because of the late cancellation by Vueling no refund possible)

Pre-booked excursions: 187,00 euro

Train to and from Schiphol: 160,00 euro

Call charges Italy, Schiphol and Vueling: 25,00 euro

Lost revenue days: 600,00 euros

Total lost cost: 1796.16 euro.
