Mijn Klacht:
We have two separate shipments: from NL to CROATIA; NL to GREECE. We received the invoice after two shipments, which states there are Extended Area Surcharge-Destination (€24,98) in these two separate shipments. However, it did not show in the calculate time and cost in UPS system while creating order. Until we got the invoice after completing the shipment from Billing Team, we learnt that there were two additional costs. This is totally unacceptable! We did not know it involves this additional cost and the amount of this additional cost before we create this shipment in the UPS system. This circumstance completely determines whether we continue the shipment with UPS. If we would have known, we might choose other means of transportation.
Even though when we searched Extended Area Surcharge-Destination afterwards in UPS webpage, we did not see the exact amount of the surcharge. This can be treated as Commercial Fraud. Extended Area Surcharge-Destination is two times the shipping fee, an exorbitant price.
When we looked at the invoice and checked in the UPS system, both shipments’ rates are higher than the published rate, including Transportation and Fuel Surcharge. This is totally unacceptable! What does it mean Discount?
NL to CROATIA
Published Total Charges: €13,30 (including VAT: €2,31)
NL to GREECE
Published Total Charges: €18,14 (including VAT: €3,15)
Gewenste Oplossing:
Under the incomplete information provided from UPS, which can be treated as Commercial Fraud, we would like UPS to waive the Extended Area Surcharge-Destination (€24,98) for both shipments. If UPS refuses, we for sure will take further actions.
