Een gebruiker van Revolut ervaart ernstige problemen tijdens het overstappen van zijn bankrekening, dat begon op 9 oktober. Ondanks beloftes van Revolut dat zijn salaris en automatische incasso's voor 13 maanden zouden worden omgeleid, gebeurde dit niet, wat leidde tot afgewezen betalingen voor huur, creditcards en andere rekeningen. De klant heeft meer dan 20 keer contact opgenomen met de klantenservice, maar kreeg telkens tegenstrijdige informatie van verschillende medewerkers, wat resulteerde in frustratie en een gebrek aan adequate ondersteuning.

Mijn Klacht:

I started the Revolut account switching process on 9 October because Revolut advertised that I would receive six months of Metal for free if I moved my salary to them. This turned into a two-month nightmare. Revolut repeatedly assured me that my salary and all my direct debits would be automatically redirected for 13 months, but none of this happened. My rent, credit card, insurance, utilities and internet payments were all rejected.
I contacted support more than 20 times and spoke to countless agents. Every single agent gave me different, often completely contradictory answers. Some said the switch was active, others said it wasn’t, others said it would start on a specific date, and others claimed it needed weeks more. I received scripted replies, superficial answers, and nobody took responsibility. I was constantly transferred between teams without any follow-up.
My salary even went missing and did not arrive at either bank, and Revolut still did not treat the issue with urgency. When I tried to cancel the switch, Revolut told me it was cancelled, but my old bank ed Revolut only provisionally withdrew the cancellation. The switch continued running in the background and caused even more issues.
Regarding the Metal plan, which was the whole reason I initiated the switch, I again received contradicting explanations. Some agents claimed it would be activated automatically, others said I had to opt into a banner that never appeared, and in the end I never received the Metal plan at all. The promotion was completely mishandled and misleading.
Eventually, I was forced to open and pay for a new bank account at another provider and manually change all my direct debits myself, which was exactly what I was trying to avoid by using Revolut’s switching service.
This experience was exhausting, costly and incredibly frustrating. I would like to receive my 6 months metal plan for free as promised
