Een consument heeft drie jaar geleden een Samsung LED-televisie (model LE32A552) aangeschaft en was aanvankelijk tevreden. Enkele maanden geleden verscheen er echter een verticale zwarte lijn aan de linkerkant van het scherm, die nu breder wordt en steeds storender is, wat het kijken naar programma's bemoeilijkt. De garantie is inmiddels verlopen, waardoor de consument geen mogelijkheid heeft om het probleem kosteloos op te lossen.

Mijn Klacht:

Approximately three years ago, I purchased a Samsung LED television,
Model Code: LE32A55P3Rxxn: Type: LE32A552.

As with the many other Samsung products that I have purchased in the past (computer screens, phones etc), I was initially very satisfied with the product. However, a few months ago, a vertical black line appeared about 2 inches in, on the left-hand side of the screen. Since my guarantee had expired, I decided to try to ignore it, although it was, as you can imagine, somewhat distracting. Johnny Depp just didn’t look the same…

Now, however, I notice the line getting wider and becoming even more intrusive. I find it hard to concentrate on (for example), ‘The BBC Politics Show’ when a black line is virtually (pardon the pun) cutting the panellists in two.

My son, who has a friend who works in the Samsung Repair Department in Belgium, called and presented him with the problem and asked for his expert advice. We were dismayed to learn that there was little to be done, as the entire panel would have to be removed (whatever that means). Sadly, he said the best thing we could do would be to ‘buy a new television’.

Needless to say, I can’t afford a new television and the guarantee has expired, as mentioned above.

I realise that, basically, I don’t have a leg to stand on, as the saying goes, but I just wanted to write and let you know how disappointed I am that a Samsung product, usually that stalwart of reliability and dependability, has so grievously let me down after a mere three years of service.
