BLUF:
Paid for pick-up, DPD didn’t show up. Now they refuse to refund €5.95 and force a voucher. This is against Dutch law (Wanprestatie). Order 12637120.
Detail:
I paid for a home pick-up service scheduled for February 19, 2026. DPD failed to show up and did not provide any updates. To ensure my parcel arrived on time, I had to carry the bulky package to a Parcel Shop myself.
When I requested a refund for the unprovided pick-up service (€5.95), DPD refused, citing Article 7.2 and offering only a 3-month promotional code. This is a clear case of non-performance (wanprestatie).
They kept my money for a service they never rendered and is now trying to force a voucher on me instead of a refund. But I want my money back on my bank account, not a discount code with an expiration date.
Gewenste Oplossing:
A full refund of the €5.95 pick-up fee to my original payment method.
