My fridge broke on Thursday 17th December, after watching YouTube videos online, managed to fix it with cooling relay with compressed air, but after 2-3 hours it overheated and stopped. Anyway, at least managed to keep the food frozen in the freezer. I ordered a fridge from from MediaMarkt at 18th.
The delivery planned for Tuesday 21st. On Monday night, I turned off the fridge, dried and cleaned (as MediaMarkt indicates the old fridge will be removed if it is so) and placed the food outside as it will survive in cold weather for a day or less. On Tuesday 21st afternoon received an incident report message indicating that the Fridge will not delivered on Tuesday, but on Wednesday 22nd. However, track and trace have not been updated and I did not receive the fridge, nor an update on Wednesday. On Thursday I called client service twice, waiting 1 hour on the line. I have been promised that an update will be send on Thursday. Of course no update or answer received. On Friday 24th called MediaMarkt again, finally on Friday afternoon MediaMarkt (First logistics) sent a message that the fridge will be delivered a week late on Tuesday 28th December.
As I removed the food from freezer, it was already spoiled on Thursday, on the same day I sent an email to MediaMarkt that I expect them to pay the damages incurred to me due to delay. On Friday I talked with Mediamarkt client service and asked to pay the damages incurred to me due to delay as the food should go to trash can, the employee denied to accept and recommended me to claim the damage from insurance. I indicated to him that I don’t have insurance, even if I had I don’t expect them to pay the damage caused by MediaMarkt failure to meet the committed delivery date and not updating me about the delivery time (I call this fraud, to try to rip insurance off for your fault). However, I do have legal assistance insurance and will attempt claiming the damages by a juridical proceeding. I will also report to court that MediaMarkt tries rip insurance off instead of taking the responsibility of their own fault.
The way this case is handled by MediaMarkt is disrespectful and unacceptable. First of long delay in delivering the fridge (still the fridge is not delivered and really doubt is 2nd scheduled delivery will happen), second being unresponsive and not updating the status of delivery and not responding to emails and messages. Third not accepting to pay the damage caused by MediaMarkt failure and trying to claim it elsewhere.
Absolutely not recommend to purchase from MediaMarkt, especially white goods. For me, this is the last purchase, especially when there are several better sellers out there.

1-Paying damages incurred to me due to delay in delivry
2-Speed up delivery of Fridge
