Mijn Klacht:
Good day,
I’ve recently tried to book a flight, and attach my voucher to it, but the system tells me that the voucher is not valid. I am trying to use it before the expiration date, so it should be valid. I’ve contacted KLM service center, and they told me that someone else claimed for the voucher to be refunded. I informed them, that I have not made such claim, nor did I give my voucher to anyone, because I was planning to use it for myself. KLM made another temporary booking for me that was valid for around 10 days, while they are looking into the issue. The booking I was trying to book was around 600 Euros total. In the mean time, this one expired. The booking KLM made for me was also around 600 Euros. In the meantime, this booking code also expired. However, in the note, they wrote that I am trying to use a voucher that is NOT on my name. This made me upset, because, that is not the case. KLM promised to contact me back within 10 days, which did not happen. I called back again, and I was promised to be contacted on Monday June 14. This also did not happen. I called back again, and was put on hold for at least 30 min, only to hear again, that the issue is not resolved, and that I should just wait. Meanwhile, all the ticket prices went sky high, and what angers me, is that I was waiting for a reply in order to finalize my booking. If I was informed that this issue could take this long, I would have book my ticket and paid for it to guarantee the booking price. Now, all prices went up to 2000 Euros. This is the first time I am experiencing such treatment from KLM. I wish to speak to someone who CAN help me, instead of the agents who pick up the phone, because apparently they cannot do anything else, except telling me to wait. I demand a response, as to how this issue will be resolved, because it’s clearly a mistake on the part of KLM, and I don’t think I should be the one paying the price of it.
Awaiting your reply,
Lionel Spratt
Gewenste Oplossing:
I want this voucher issue to be resolved, ideally with (another) valid voucher, and also a ticket price at the rate I was trying to book it for. I am certainly not paying 2000 euros for a ticket I could have bought for 600 euros.
