De klant heeft in november 2020 een spinningbike gekocht bij ITEK, maar ondervond na twee weken gebruik problemen met de as van de fiets. Er verschenen vuil en gesmolten plastic op de vloer, en de digitale apparatuur werkte niet meer. Na een verzoek om hulp van ITEK, terwijl de fiets nog onder garantie viel, ontving de klant ondersteuning.

Mijn Klacht:

I bought ‘Spinningbike ImpecGb-8810B’ from ITEK in November/2020 (factuur 20051637-13) due the lockdown and gyms closure in Netherlands. During the first couple weeks I could use the bicycle without issues but after that I noticed some dirt on the floor where the bike was, some plastic melted pieces on it and the digital equipment that counts time, distance and calories stopped working (even after I change the battery). The part of the bicycle where the pedal turns (axle) was moving to the right and that made it frictional on the plastic that covered the axle and that is why it has worn out, melted the plastic cover and the the disc, which is on the right pedal, over which the belt runs, has also melted. Since the bike was still in the warranty period I requested help from ITEK. They sent me a new axle with the belt disc, a new plastic cover and a tool for me to maintain the bike. I had to buy another tool because Itek provided me just the part to remove the axle not to remove the screws. Then I did exactly what the Cutomer Support told me to do but it worked just for a couple days and the plastic part started to melting again due the fact that the washer isn’t enough to fix and hold the axle.

After all issues and maitenance the Customer Support told me that I didn´t made the maintenance properly and that I needed to do it again. So I did it again and the same happened. I sent another email requesting my money back and the guy from support told me to put the washer properly that it would assure that the axle wouldn´t move. I needed to maintain the bike for more than 5 times and the washer didn´t hold and fixed on the axle any of them. So in january/2021 I informed to Customer Support that I wanted my money back because I couldn´t use the bike and they told me It is easier to fix the bike than to ask DHL to take back the bike and finance area of ITEK to give the money back. Are you sure you want to give the product back?. Since then I have sent 2 more messages for Customer Support and I didn´t get an reply.

Conclusion: I can´t use the bike that I bought in November and I don´t have the money I spent on it to buy a new one from another supplier. I would never indicate products from ITEK for a friend. I want my money back.

Gewenste Oplossing:

I want my money back. I'm very unhappy with ITEK products and support.
