Een gebruiker van Instagram heeft zijn account @sehgaljuwelier op 22 februari 2023 uitgeschakeld gezien, naar eigen zeggen zonder dat hij de richtlijnen heeft overtreden. De gebruiker benadrukt dat het account belangrijk voor hem was, omdat het zijn bedrijf vertegenwoordigde en hij er zeven jaar aan had gewerkt, inclusief investeringen in advertenties. Hij voelt zich onterecht behandeld en heeft zijn klacht publiekelijk gedeeld.

Mijn Klacht:

Dear Instagram team, you are abusing me mentally so please read this! I have already made this a public issue on various platforms, so carefully read this.

On the 22nd of February my Instagram account @sehgaljuwelier got disabled because I have not followed to the Instagram guidelines. To my knowledge I have never violated any of the Instagram guidelines, and always politely and respectfully followed all rules. This account was very dear to me as it was a representation of my business and took me over 7 years to build. Over these 7 years I spent a lot of money on facebook ads and also a lot of time on building this account from scratch to 18300 followers. All of a sudden, without any reason my account was disabled and this is not fair at all. 

Starting from the 22nd of February I started appealing against the decision, and also contacted the facebook support team. The appeals have been rejected as I have been accused of “counterfeiting”. The support team does not want to listen to my matter either. They just transfer it to the internal team, and after 5-10 minutes call me back saying that my case is impossible. 

I would like to state once again that I have never been warned for violating the Instagram terms. If I would have been warned, I would have directly delete all the violating posts. 

How can it be that such a big company as @instagram is just disabling accounts without warning the owners about it. This account was not just an account for me, it my biggest source of my business, and the goodwill/reputation of my business. 

How can you just remove 7 years of my hard work and all the money I put on the ads, which helped me create this account. The support team is not listening to my matter and the appeals are being rejected without giving me a solid reason. 

If I have ever done anything against the community guidelines, I hereby want to apologize. To my knowledge I have never done this, and I am willing to remove all the posts which do. 

No one is helping me with this issue, and it is abusing me mentally. This whole matter can be seen as an indirect form of harassment, as all of my hard work and money which I put into your platform is turning to waste. If I am trying to contact you, no one is willing to help me and everything is just being rejected.
