been yesterday to ING Voorburg to open an Account.. branch was not too busy but told that without an appointment its not possible. therefore I made an appointment today. today, branch was significantly more busy, so i was asked to stand at the counter to open the account..
1. is this how ING wants to welcome new customers?
2. i do not want to talk about my financial matters in front of everyone..
so i told the ING staff, if there isn’t a meeting room available, ING staff member told rather flippantly that there was no room and challenged me why i would have a problem sitting in the public area
i replied, if this is the ING way, you could have done this yesterday already.. but he said i needed the appointment.i replied that if i have an appointment. id expect a separate room..
and adding the ING employee added that if this is how i think about this , then he’d rather not do it. i responded that if this is the attitude of this branch, maybe ING has enough clients,. therefore id rather go to another bank instead were customers are valued.
the whole experience is ranging at the bottom of customer experiences in the Netherlands, and the worst regarding banks.
