Mijn Klacht:
Few months ago we went to IKEA to check and purchase full bedroom for our first newborn, we had an advantage of having 15% discount, but the staff member told us to wait until October and there will be bigger discounts, so we decided to wait because we’re expecting the delivery on first week of December.
2 weeks ago we went to IKEA again and started to select our items, but they informed us that they can’t give us any discount because all IKEA discount period has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 situation, which i find awkward, and i tried to contact their CS and they apologized for missing our initial discount and they wont be able to grant us any discount. we felt that we were fooled by their staff and can’t do anything now .. we decided to buy them anyway because of our limited budget and yet they are missing a lot of inventory in Groningen and now am travelling from city to city to pickup parts as they’re not shipping to our address nor to Groningen branch which also an awkward thing .. had to spend hundreds of euros for my car gas and hours of travel for that ..
For me as an IKEA customer for more than 20 years, i find this way too much .. its not their usual behaviour with customers, i understand that COVID-19 changed many things, but it shouldn’t change their way of treating their customers as they always bragged about.
Gewenste Oplossing:
We would be really satisfied to get our promised discount especially in this time .. we got tons of expenses for our newborn and i just wasted more than 400 euros as unexpected surplus.
