Na hun verblijf in Center Parcs Eifel waren de vakantiegangers teleurgesteld over de kwaliteit van de accommodatie. De cottage, die als comfort cottage werd gepresenteerd, bleek verouderd en niet gezellig, met een sterke schimmelgeur in de slaapkamers en badkamer. Dit leidde tot gezondheidsklachten bij hun jonge dochter, wat de ervaring verder negatief beïnvloedde.

Mijn Klacht:

Yesterday we were back from our vacation in Center Parcs Eifel. To our big regret, it was not a vacation of our dream. First of all, because of the cottage we stayed in. It was a 4- persons cottage 66 (HE754) which was called to be a comfort cottage. We haven’t noticed much of a comfort there, because it was very old house with old furniture and not cosy at all. When you go down to the basement with bedrooms and a bathroom you smell mildew immediately. Bedrooms are moist/wet and you smell mildew there. CenterParcs advertises that this is ideal vacation for families with young children/baby’s. But it is not so, as mildew is very dangerous to breath in for everyone, especially for baby’s and pregnant women. Our daughter of less then 2 became sick and got a cold there…There were black spots of mildew on a shower cabin which was really small.

The living room is also not really children friendly, as there was a stairs going down with a lock that our daughter of less than 2 could open within a few seconds…The floor was made from hard tiles which is also dangerous if small children fall on it.. So we could not relax there and needed to keep an eye on our daughter every second.

As for Aqua Mundo, changing rooms are very small and are not equipped with hooks for clothes, so all clothes, swimming suits were placed on a table and benches, which is very not hygienic. In addition, water in the swimming pool with a red slide was too cold for small children.

To sum up, it was a ruined vacation. We were wating for it but our expectations were not fullfilled. We needed to work hard to earn for this vacation which we can afford once per year and when it is destroyed like this it is not acceptable… We feel robbed and ask CenterParcs for financial compensation.
If you read on forums, there are many people who are very disappointed about vacation in Center Parcs Eifel. I guess it is really time for Center Parcs to do something to change it, to renovate houses and stop providing misleading information that it is ideal and children friendly vacation.
