Een klant van Avis Budget Group heeft een onaanvaardbare ervaring gehad met de autoverhuurservice. Na het huren van een auto en een probleem met een deflatie van een achterband, ontving de klant geen hulp van de pechhulpdienst, ondanks herhaalde beloftes en drie uur wachten. Uiteindelijk besloot de klant zelf de band op te pompen en verder te rijden.

I want typing this mail to inform you about my unacceptable experience with Avis. Retnal agreement 263912692

We rented a car on Wednesday 9 May to travel to germany. Wednesday evening 21.40 I get a warning that the right rear tire is deflating. I decided to stop at the gas station and change the tire with the spare. The car did not have a spare tire, so I decided to call Avis road side assistance.

After speaking to a guy he ensures me that roadside assistance will be at our location in about 60 minutes. I also asked him that the person who will come to us contact us directly so I can be sure he is on his way. After 3 hours of waiting and several phone call to Avis Netherlands and Germany no one has been sent.

I decided to inflate the wheel at the garage station and continue, stopping every 30km to inflate it at the next station. I did this for 270km and eventually reached our hotel in Leipzigt at 03:30, stopping at least 9 times.

The following morning a lady contacted me and said Avis will pick up the current vehicle and a driver will bring another car so we can continue our journey. 30 minutes later she phones and says no additional vehicle will be send, I must take a taxi to the Leipzigt airport and collect a new vehicle there. She ed multiple time that Avis will pay for the taxi cost when I collect the vehicle.

So then a tow truck comes and collects the vehicle and I take a taxi to the airport.

At the airport the lady at the counter informs me that Avis will not re-imburse me for the taxi. So I sit will an additional taxi bill of 40euro.

In general this was an extremely bad experience and I would definitely not expect this from a company like Avis.

Please send me a copy of any cost that was charged to my credit card.

Find the taxi cost attached, as well as a screenshot of how many time I tried to contact Avis.

I have been waiting 2 weeks for the manager at Eindhoven office to contact me, everyday they promise me they will contact me.

Gewenste Oplossing:

The absolute minimum Avis can do is do reimburse me for the total car hire and all the expenses.
