Een reiziger met twee kinderen en twee katten ondervond problemen tijdens een reis van Amsterdam naar Whitehorse via Vancouver op 4 augustus 2021. De aansluitende vlucht was geannuleerd zonder medeweten van de passagiers, waardoor ze zelf nieuwe tickets moesten kopen om hun reis voort te zetten. Ondanks contact met Lufthansa, werd er geen hulp geboden, aangezien Air Canada de enige luchtvaartmaatschappij was waarmee zij een contract hadden.

Mijn Klacht:

My journey with two children and two cats on 4th of August 2021 from Amsterdam via Vancouver to Whitehorse didn’t went well.
With a stopover in Vancouver, it seems that the tickets for the connected flight didn’t were secured, meaning that they were sold to other passengers and that the next available flight could take place at the 20th of August 2021.
I had bought a return flight to Amsterdam on 19th of August 2021.
When I called Lufthansa, the operator told me that they could do nothing for me, as that Air Canada is the only air company, to which they deal with and have a contract with.
I was told I must find a way to Whitehorse ( Yukon ) myself at my own expenses.
After buying tickets with Air North , for 550 euros we could finally continue our journey.

On the 7th of August 2021, we saw that the return tickets, from Whitehorse to Amsterdam om 19th of August were vanished. No email, no warning.. I tried to contact Vliegwinkel.NL where I bought the return tickets.
After days we finally had contact with them by Facebook Messenger.
The Operator from Vliegwinkel.NL texted me that they could not do anything for me, as it was the fault of Lufthansa. This while Lufthansa already told me that the Travel agency ( Vliegwinkel.nl in this case ) is the only one that is allowed to ask a refund with Lufthansa.

Vliegwinkel.NL denies this and texted that the flight from Vancouver to Whitehorse was already passed, so they could do nothing. Not even refund the paid costs for the tickets to Whitehorse.

Vliegwinkel.NL also texted that we can cancel our tickets , but costs 255 euro per person.
When I asked when I get a retour ticket to the Netherlands ( which originally would be on the 19th August) they say it is on the 10th of September. The children already had to go to school and my work already started.
Lufthansa points his finger to Vliegwinkel.NL and Vliegwinkel.NL points his finger to Lufthansa.
The people who are between this are paying a lot of money and are in enormous stress. Not to mention, the costs will be made to stay longer in Whitehorse and the costs the company will make not working for them on time. And somebody have to pay for this, believe me.

For such a big company’s such as Lufthansa and Vliegwinkel.NL get in touch with each other and figure this out. In the meanwhile, I will get this word around.
