Mijn Klacht:
While booking two round trip tickets, at the cost of an additional 90 EUR, we added on the ‘flex’ option to be able change date of flights. When we attempted to do so for the return flight, our call rerouted via the Supersaver Amsterdam phone number to India, we were told we could change the flight, we would just have to pay 550 EUR each (x2), for a total of about 1100 EUR.
That ‘change fee’ would have been about 350 EUR more than the cost of the original tickets. Obviously, there was no ‘flex’ option. Supersaver rep was just attempting to sell us another ticket entirely.
This was ed when we contacted the airline and were informed that the tickets were 100% NOT changeable. During yet another call to Supersaver to inform them of this fact (of which they were obviously aware), the rep essentially said to call back later, as in after we commenced our trip. This, of course, made no sense. When I explained this to the rep, he became agitated, clearly wanting to get off the phone, probably being monitored by his call center supervisor.
Now, to add insult to injury, despite repeated unsubscribes, still receiving Supersaver spam. This is in clear violation of GDPR.
The Supersaver website should be shutdown in the EU, and everywhere else, for that matter. Supersaver is a scam operation.
Gewenste Oplossing:
Refund of 90 EUR add-on fee and termination of Supersaver spam.
