Mijn Klacht:
On may 29th 2012 we were about the board from Eindhoven Airport tot Alghero airport in Italy for our holiday to Sardina. Because of weight limitations we decided to check in an extra suitcase (extra charge) at the counter of Ryanair. The lady at the service desk starting te make trouble about the name of my girlfriend. It did not match the passport’s name. On the boarding pass it stated Gerdi Spits-Weijers. Gerdi is her real name. On the passport it showed Gertrudis Martina Maria Spits-Weijers. She stated we had to do a total name change for a charge of 160 euro! (twice the amount of the Original ticket). She did not check the picture on the passport and acted in a very un customer friendly way. All she said was you need to go the information booth and change the name. Leaving us no choice and 45 min before boarding the plane, we stood in line of the information booth. There they made a name change for 160 euro! However after the name change, the name still did not match the passport but apparently after cashing 160 euro this did not matter at all for Ryanair. As you can tell we were totally upset and frustrated but what can you do 25 min before boarding an airplane? In addition to this the lady that told us to make a name change said we could come back and check in again at her desk. Upon arriving at here desk she closed the desk and said to wait in the other line for her colleague. So a name change wasn’t necessary (because it was still the same person) and secondly after charging an absurd amount the name still wasn’t changed as stated on the passport. So I would like Ryanair to seriously look at this complaint and to reimburse the money. I am really considering not to fly with Ryanair because of this incident.
Gewenste Oplossing:
When Ryanair look seriously to this complaint an reimburse the money.
I wrote a lot of complains and never get an answer of Ryanair.
I can show all the e-mails and Ryanair does nothing with the complaint. Í am a customer! This doesn't feel good and professional of Ryanair.
