Een klant van Piet Klerkx heeft ernstige klachten over de klantenservice en de levering van een bed. Ondanks dat de levering oorspronkelijk voor Week 10 van 2018 was gepland, is deze steeds uitgesteld zonder enige communicatie van het bedrijf, waardoor de klant in een oncomfortabele situatie verkeert. De aangeboden compensatie van €100 wordt als onvoldoende ervaren, aangezien dit slechts de kosten voor installatie dekt.

Mijn Klacht:

The worst customer service I’ve come across in a long time. I purchased a bed from here and was told to expect delivery in Week 10 of 2018. Delivery has been pushed back every week (we’re up to Week 15 now) with no notification from Piet Klerkx. There is absolutely no consideration that people like me are moving into completely unfurnished homes, with no furniture of their own, and need to be able to plan accordingly. All they can offer is a €100 discount which is basically just their installation cost. It’d be better just to spit in your customer’s faces, Piet Klerkx.

Without any notification from Piet Klerkx (I tracked the order online myself), my order got pushed back to Week 11 in Week 10. I reached out to them for an explanation of the issue and to see if Week 11 was guaranteed. I was told they’d be reaching out to the supplier to delivery but of course no one got back to me. I checked again in Week 11 and my order was pushed back to Week 14, again with no notification. What made it worse was that my friend also purchased the SAME BED, on the SAME DAY with me and his bed was delivered in Week 12. When I wrote to Piet Klerkx on this directly, this was their response:

We are sorry to hear that you have not heard from us, we expect your bed about week 14

After this email in Week 11, I called in and was told that my bed was NOT EVEN IN PRODUCTION YET. The employee on the phone made no attempt to explain why and couldn’t even pretend to care. She couldn’t tell me why my friend was able to get the exact same bed quicker or why no one caught that my bed wasn’t in production yet when I reached out in Week 10. She told me there were no guarantees my bed would be delivered in Week 14 and that PK would be in touch if there were any additional delays. I told her I already expected to have this appointment cancelled and I was right.

For a moment, I thought it would actually happen because I received a text message saying my order would be delivered between 11-14:00. That’s the other thing – they say you can pick your delivery time up to two days before but they pretty much do this for you. Yet something else they offer with no follow through.

An hour later, I received a call today (303) that my bed is delayed by at least another week. No explanation and nothing offered to make it a smoother customer experience. You want to know what I was offered A 100 euro discount – what a joke! Several weeks of it’s coming next week, it’s coming next week and they take peanuts off of this ridiculously priced bed. Again: first time homeowner, unfurnished home, none of my own furniture.

They obviously don’t care about their customers or their experience. Countless emails went unanswered or were given vague responses with empty apologies and their solutions are more insulting than helpful.

I wish I’d done more research and read all of the terrible reviews I’ve found for Piet Klerkx online. I was near Waalwijk visiting another outlet store and we stumbled across PK by accident. Beautiful store, nice store staff but it’s basically a pig wearing lipstick.

For the money you’ll spend and the additional headache that comes with their service, go with another company.

Gewenste Oplossing:

I've asked what my options are when it comes to cancelling my order. I was told I'd be called back but you guessed it - I haven't been. From what I understand, if delivery is pushed back by more than a month I'm within my rights to cancel it. I would've been happy to receive my bed next week but I have no trust in Piet Klerkx. I would like to that I'd get my deposit back and completely cancel my business with Piet Klerx. They don't deserve it.
