Dear Klacht.nl Board, From 26 to 30 of November 2015 I assisted to the course “Cyber Security, Intelligence and Awareness Course” at Lowland Solutions Netherlands. This five day “hands-on” program should provide the attendee with a comprehensive overview and understanding of the most current and pressing issues in the cyber domain. An encompassing overview of cyber should have been given addressing cybercrime, hacktivism, cyber war, cyber espionage and intelligence. Instead, their lack of personal skills talking to the people made this course the worst I (and 21 more students) have ever taken. One of the teachers was a girl (she could even be an intern, she was not paid) from the Laiden University without the knowledge and interpersonal skills to guide the course during 4 days nor talk in a room with 20 persons. She made some spreadsheets available to us and she was reading them (not very excited) from the projector (average of 3-4 hours per day). We had to bother her continuously because she was providing wrong or incomplete information. There was not “hands on” part of this course as they did not even join us together to work on, let’s say, “a project or exercise”. They did not even ask questions to us for us to pay more attention. The registration fee of 1874, 29 euros for a course that did not have professional material (it was the first time that they had this course in production and the lecturers/instructors were not even paid), the fact that the explanations about Cyber “things” were most of the times completely wrong having us to interrupt the class continuously to inform the teacher about the mistakes or about the wrong information provided and the waste of time talking about the financial status of islamic groups from 1999 to 2007 (mentioning that nowadays they use “digi payments??”) is really not worth it. Not even mentioning the first day were our “teacher” only wanted to show off, only providing information about his career with no other perspective or point of view. I have sent them an email asking for a refund because we all wasted our time and money. Instead the guys said that he cannot do anything more than sitting with me to talk and hope to do a better course (evidently I already gave my money to make their course better…) We had the course in the Park Hotel and it was in maintenance so there was noise each and every day, even if we complaint about this issue. I like to receive a complete refund from them but I don’t know what steps we need to follow. Should I create an online form and send it to all the participants to get a signature and complaint against the company?
