Initially, you agreed to the exchange of your tabletop. Now that you moved to Switzerland it's more difficult to exchange the tabletop, so suddenly you cancled the exhange. This could only be done when you previously reported this to us....

Mijn Klacht:

We purchaced an Ancona tafel 190X100 on 26.11.15 (delivered on 22.12.15; Ordernumber V1511.05948; Klantnummer 0265183 Narkis D).
Three months after delivery, we noticed that the table completely split in the middle and a hole occurred between two wooden beams (pictures 1-4). Eventually, the table top was replaced by the supplier.
Recently – again – 9 months after – same story; the table top has split and a gap formed between two wooden beams (pictures 5-7).
We contacted Haco again and they said they will check what to do with supplier. In the meantime, they suggested to add humidity to the room so we also bought a humidifier (more money…).
While waiting for the supplier’s reply another gap started, on a different location of the table top, this time the edge (pictures 8-9).
Eventually the only solution offered to us was to get again – for the third time – a new table top. However, this suggestion is not acceptable. This is not the first time it has happened and the table top has become a true hazard – since contacting Haco 7 weeks ago the condition of the table kept deteriorating (pictures 10-11). More and more defects are appearing and now one side of the table is almost completely hung by a thread.
Noting that this is not the first time this has happened to the table top, and that it had been replaced before, obviously there is no guarantee it will not happened again and accordingly it makes no sense to get another table top for the third time. This model is obviously defected. There is no justification for a new table, which is handled perfectly, to reach such a condition.
Haco says it is natural material and cracks are normal – but this is not a crack – the table top is falling apart day by day.
I wanted to attach all the pictures but it only lets me attach one so if needed – I can send all of them…

Gewenste Oplossing:

Under the circumstances detailed above, when obviously replacing the table top does not solve the issue, we believe it would only be fair to provide us with a monetary compensation. The table cost 700 Euro so at least half of the amunt - 350 Euro would be fair.

Geboden Oplossing:

Initially, you agreed to the exchange of your tabletop. Now that you moved to Switzerland it's more difficult to exchange the tabletop, so suddenly you cancled the exhange. This could only be done when you previously reported this to us. But at first you agreed to the exchange. The tabletop is out of production and the blade was manufactured especially for you. We have made great effort to get this tabletop and we informed you about this. Now that the tabletop is in stock you just cannot cancel the exchange and demand a refund.
You can contact HACO Amsterdam to make an appointment. We can send the tabletop to the carrier.

That is not correct. You offered the replacement and while I was trying to figure out a way to get it here the table got even worse which led me to conclude there is not point to get it again because it will defiantly happen again and I have more important stuff to do then contact Haco every time the table begins to fall apart. It has nothing to do with my location. And I am not surprised it is out of production being of such poor quality.
