Een klant heeft een verzoek ingediend bij Flighttix voor een volledige terugbetaling van een geannuleerde vlucht met Qatar Airways, waarvoor hij een voucher heeft ontvangen. De klant, die in januari 2020 tickets had gekocht voor een vlucht van Amsterdam naar Kathmandu, vindt de voucher nutteloos en wil zijn oorspronkelijke bedrag van PLN 2.016,12 terug.

Mijn Klacht:

Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing to you with a request for help and support in my case. The voucher I received for a cancelled Qatar Airways flight is useless to me and I want a full refund.

The background is that on 25.01.2020 I purchased tickets for a flight from Amsterdam to Kathmandu and from Kathmandu to Amsterdam, which was to take place with Qatar Airways, in the amount of PLN 2,016.12 through the Flighttix TIX operator. Flights were scheduled for September 2020, and due to the pandemic situation, they were cancelled. Before the date of the planned flight, I contacted Qatar Airways asking for a refund, and instead I was offered a voucher valid for two years and a surcharge of PLN 300 by Qatar Airways in order to increase the value of the ticket for future flights. In the meantime, I received from the Broker a voucher valid for one year with a lower value than the amount I paid for the planned flights. I didn’t accept the voucher.

In summer 2021 there appeared the possibility to get money back for my ticket instead of the voucher. I have applied to the Flighttix TIX operator asking to return my money back. After exchanging a few e-mails with Flighttix TIX they have stopped to answer my e-mail-s. I have turned up to the Polish Consumer Center for help. The Center contacted the Netherlands partner. I expected successful conclusion of my case. Instead, I was informed by the Polish Consumer Center that The Netherlands Consumer Center contacted Flighttix TIX 3 times, but the broker did not respond there. As a result, the Netherlands Consumer Center closed my case.

I feel powerless in the face of the extremely arrogant, predatory and merciless attitude shown by Flighttix TIX. I feel like my case is late (which I think Flighttix TIX is expecting) and I will lose my money because I am afraid of a dishonest broker who fills me with impunity.

I believe that in my case you will stand on the side of business honesty by taking actions as a result of which I will receive a refund, which I have been striving for a long time.

Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you very much for your a kind help and I am asking for a farther support. As Flifttix wanted me, I have established an account on Flighttix.pl website on 18 July 2022 and I have canceled my reservation and send Flihgttix my demand for a refund. The same day, they have ed cancellation of my reservation and also ed my choice for a refund. I was promised to receive my refund within 5 working days but still I don’t have any money from them.

I will highly appreciate your help for successfully finish my case.
