Mijn Klacht:
Hello,
We booked a trip to Rio in April and recently found out there was a yellow fever break out there. Brazil was never reknown for that. We were travelling with a 5.5 months old baby. The doctor said it would be as dangerous as getting the disease itself to vaccinate him, because it’s a live virus vaccination. And advices us not to go. We called Expedia and they could not do much of us. They said our tickets (2585 €) were changeable. But then when we asked to change it Osaka, we were told that they were no more fares available. We spent hours over the phone, we have to wait for calls back and the more we wait for them, the less was possible. We had different versions. They hide behind KLM saying it’s not possible. They even refuse to change it to some routes. While tickets for the same routes were sold online on both Expedia and klm for the destination. Once, they priced us something more expensive what we could see on both their website. They say you can only change it the same ticket class that’s why. But then an upgrade (paying more, changing for more expensive) was possible. None of those conditions were communicated online or before the sale. We asked for the recordings of all communication as proof and they refused to give to us. We ask to speak to a manager, then again they refused. Please help us, our trip is within a week.
Gewenste Oplossing:
We want either Expedia to change our changeable tickets to the desired destination or to simply refund us as they did not provide us with all the change conditions information before we paid online. And from what I know there's a European law saying they should have informed us, or there should be a page where all the details are written. But an agent from Expedia even told us no, that's not something you can access.
