Een klant heeft een klacht ingediend bij Expedia over een wijziging van zijn vlucht van Yerevan naar Cairo, waarbij hij niet op de hoogte was gesteld. Bij aankomst op de luchthaven bleek de vlucht geannuleerd en was hij zonder informatie opnieuw geboekt via Athens, maar deze vlucht was al vertrokken. Hierdoor moest de klant zelf een nieuwe vlucht boeken en vraagt hij om terugbetaling voor de extra kosten.

I would like to know where I can ask for re-reimbursement, as I had to pay twice for getting from Yerevan to Cairo.
I had booked a flight from Yerevan to Cairo for Talin Sahakian, Armine Yengibaryan, Alessandro Momjian Sahakian (child 3 years old) and Yann Momjian Sahakian (child 1,5 years old with seat). The flight was trough Yerevan Beirut (Business) and Beirut- Cairo economy on 23 June.
When I arrived at the airport, the middle east airlines told me that my flight was canceled and that I was re-booked through Athens. So Yerevan, Athens, and Athens – Cairo. However that flight had already departed. I tried to call expedia but the NL office was not open yet and the UK office didnt know what to do.
Since I had to be back to work on Sunday morning, I had to book another flight to Beirut (1 business with an infant) and two economy. Then I overstayed in Beirut in a hotel and then booked another flight to Beirut- Cairo. I would like to be reimbursed, since there was no reason to rebook me from Athens and also I had not received any email.
The last email I have received, was to re- my flight from Beirut on 17 June! Which I answered with Yes.
Where I think the mistake has been done, is when I have called expedia and have asked them on the phone if it was possible to postpone my flight for one week, and after one hour the person looking this up, said no ! then you would pay the whole amount, so I said then in that case please do not change anything, and she ed this. What has likely happened that when they were looking for options for my flight to rebook they changed my flights.. but very strange this was not done for the week after but for the same day. Regardless, no email received of the change, cause if that would have happened at least I would have been able to call and say something is wrong.
All in all I have paid 4 tickets twice!

Gewenste Oplossing:

Since I have paid four tickets twice! I would assume if this organisation as respectful as it is will reimburse my tickets and perhaps even all tickets, since I needed to stay over in Beirut.
I have all the documents, and tickets available, if Expedia could kindly contact me as I could not find where I could apply for reimbursement.
