Hello everybody,
First of all thank you for this opportunity to share what happened to us and so that all of you know how some companies are. This is our story:
We have booked a retour flight from Dusseldurf to Erbil (Iraq) and back with a transit (4 hours) in Istanbul. This was done through the travel agency CHEAPTICKET.DE with Turkish airlines.
For the way back suddenly 1 flight (from Erbi lto Istanbul) was cancelled and so we had received an email with the info: your flight has been changed to another flight with a transit of 24 hours.
This was done without our permission and so we started to mail, call and even use social media to communicate with CHEAPTICKET.DE.
After almost 1 week there is totally NO communication POSSIBLE…neither the call nor thee mails are answered and on social media ..there is nothing to find. Then we started to talk to Turkish airlines about this incident and their respond is: we have given CHEAPTICKET.DE the possibility to change get refund or let us choose the other flight after cancelling the first flight.
This means that CHEAPTICKET has given the choice to Turkish airlines without communicating it to us and give US the opportunity to choose. In this way we have lost 1 day of our schedule while we have paid for a much shorter flight (9 hours instead of 28) .
And if we try to communicate to the Dutch cheapticket.nl they say we don’t have anything to do with cheapticket.de ..while they have the same name
Gewenste Oplossing:
possibilities to change the flight OR refund (what normally is done) !
